My friend is having a wedding...in Vegas. Unfortunately, it was on short notice. I got the invite card only just last week and I have very little time to find a good present. Any ideas?

Indoor plants are awesome. Gnats hanging around them are not. How do I get rid of these pesty gnats without killing my plants? Will a Venus fly trap eat gnats?

I admit it, I am a myspace whore. Who isn't these days? Even the most anti-myspace of all myspace users are on myspace. You know they're there b/c they seem to know sooo much that's wrong with it. Like...those "superficial" people w/ a billion pics of themselves, or annoying no-name bands, or "photographers" (who do porn-pics), etc...But here's the thing. We are on there, yet we are a slight bit ashamed of that fact. Why?

anti-odor for smelly shoes

I have a pair of leather shoes that just stink every time I wear them. All my other shoes are fine, except this one. My friend who bought the same shoes complains of the exact same problem. Another person told me it's probably because of the sole, which is made of fabric.I love these shoes and I want to wear them, but how do I get rid of the smell? Any suggestions?

Ever since I had at taste of fresh mozzarella, I've been obsessed. Once you've had the real thing (not the rubbery, rock hard, supermarket kind) it's impossible to go back. Unfortunately, I dont know any place where I can get more of the good stuff! I've only seen fresh mozzarella at an upscale Italian restaurant. Would organic supermarkets carry them? Do they have cheese stores out there?

a good vintage store in San Francisco

I'm heading up to SF for a few days during my break and I want to hit up vintage stores on Haight and Ashbury and also the stores on Telegraph (Berkeley). I know many of the stores, but I want to discover something new, maybe a secret place people generally haven't heard of. Help!
