Can you vouchon simple tactics to save on gas?

I know all the basics - walk, bike, carpool, etc. - I'm looking for some of the more obscure ways that folks save on fuel.

cost, economy, environment, fuel, gas, money, prices, save

We know you that you usually vouch for things, but vouchfor doesn't sound nearly as cool as vouchon. When you vouchon something, you're basically offering up a recommendation. And then you're saying, "Hell yeah. Vouch On! (like Rock On!)."

Title

Just complete the sentence. I can vouchon _______________.

URL

A URL is just a website address. If the person, place, or thing that you're 'vouching' on has a website, enter it here. If not, well, no biggie.

Tags

Tags are like keywords that will help others find your topic in the future. If you're 'vouching' on organic milk, your keywords might be - organic, milk, goat, cow, natural, healthy, environment

Text

Just go into a bit of detail about your recommedation. Explain why your vouch is top-notch and all the others shoud freeze in the cold.

If you drive stick you can save gas by taking the car out of gear when you go down hill or before braking.

Another one that I recently heard was to always fill up your tank to the top every time, because if you don't there will be extra gas in the hose that you don't get more often and you will use less gas driving to gas stations.

Siphon your neighbor's gas. (OK that one was a joke!)

I don't know how obscure this is, but I always plan my trips. I never leave the house, in my car, unless I'm doing more than one thing. Also, tack on extra errands during the weekday, when you'll most likely be using your vehicle anyway. I always grocery shop after work, try to schedule doctors appointments right after work, run to the goodwill to donate, etc . . .
Also, and I heard this on car talk, try not to drive over 60mph if you can manage it. Apparently in most cars that burns more fuel than it's worth. You might be the one everyone's passing on the highway, but your tanks going to be a little less expensive to fill in the long run.
