Can you vouchon a store that sells fresh mozzarella?

Ever since I had at taste of fresh mozzarella, I've been obsessed. Once you've had the real thing (not the rubbery, rock hard, supermarket kind) it's impossible to go back. Unfortunately, I dont know any place where I can get more of the good stuff! I've only seen fresh mozzarella at an upscale Italian restaurant. Would organic supermarkets carry them? Do they have cheese stores out there?

We know you that you usually vouch for things, but vouchfor doesn't sound nearly as cool as vouchon. When you vouchon something, you're basically offering up a recommendation. And then you're saying, "Hell yeah. Vouch On! (like Rock On!)."

I tried a fresh mozzarella from Trader Joe's and it was delicious! They have a whole assortment of different cheeses and at least 3 different brands of fresh mozzarella when i was there. I've seen fresh mozzarella at Italian delis too.

Mozzarella! So it all depends on how the Mozzarella is packed. What you might have had would have probably been fresh too ... just a matter of packaging. In Rome I often frequented Obika( a mozzarella bar and the selection was wonderful. You must try their happy hour if you are ever there as it is one of the greatest deals in town). In the states I highly recommend Whole Foods and Bristol Farms for water packed creamy textured mozzarella. I make caprese with it and its absolutely wonderful.
